au milieu du Moyen \u00c2ge &#8211; de l&rsquo;\u00e9v\u00eaque de C\u00f4me.<\/p>\n<p>Cependant, le complexe fortifi\u00e9 que l&rsquo;on peut observer aujourd&rsquo;hui remonte \u00e0 la fin du Moyen \u00c2ge, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire entre le XIIIe et la fin du XVe si\u00e8cle : \u00e0 une premi\u00e8re phase de construction au XIIIe si\u00e8cle s&rsquo;est superpos\u00e9e une deuxi\u00e8me p\u00e9riode \u00ab\u00a0milanaise\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 la fin du XVe si\u00e8cle (1473-1486). Du fait de la souverainet\u00e9 conf\u00e9d\u00e9rale sur le comt\u00e9 de Bellinzone (1500), Castel Grande a ensuite pris le nom de Castello di Uri en 1506 puis, apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;ind\u00e9pendance du canton du Tessin (1803), celui de San Michele en 1818.<\/p>\n<p>Les b\u00e2timents sud du ch\u00e2teau, qui abritent aujourd&rsquo;hui le mus\u00e9e d&rsquo;histoire arch\u00e9ologique, jouaient un r\u00f4le primordial en tant que si\u00e8ge de la garnison militaire. En temps de paix, le ch\u00e2telain y r\u00e9sidait, accompagn\u00e9 d&rsquo;au moins une vingtaine de fantassins charg\u00e9s de la garde du ch\u00e2teau. Souvent utilis\u00e9 comme base par les garnisons envoy\u00e9es \u00e0 Bellinzone en temps de guerre, Castel Grande se devait d&rsquo;\u00eatre un espace infranchissable : seuls ceux qui pr\u00e9sentaient un document portant le sceau ducal avaient acc\u00e8s au p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre de l&rsquo;ensemble fortifi\u00e9.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=\u00a0\u00bb1\/3&Prime;
