Castel Grande Lecture 2026: Prevention is revolution
The seventh edition of the Castelgrande Lecture, organised by the Bellinzona Institutes of Science Association (Bios+), will take place on Tuesday 12 May in the Sala Arsenale at Castel Grande in Bellinzona.
The guest speaker for the occasion will be Prof. Silvio Garattini, an internationally renowned physician and pharmacologist, and founder and president of the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research in Milan.
A leading figure in European biomedical research, Prof. Garattini has dedicated his career to the study of medicines, the promotion of scientifically rigorous research and a commitment to a culture of prevention and public health.
The lecture, entitled ‘Prevention is a revolution’, will offer a reflection on the value of prevention.
The event will be held in Italian, is open to the public and will be followed by refreshments.
