We are no longer in the Middle Ages. From castles to the Fortress
Always referred to as castles, today they are known as the Fortress of Bellinzona – but why? An exhibition at Sasso Corbaro explores centuries of transformation of the Bellinzona fortifications, which have been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000. Through videos, drawings, historical and archaeological finds and interactive activities, the experience is a journey through the past, present, and future. From the Neolithic period to the latest restoration work, with a taste of what is to come: today, the Fortress is a timeless place.
