8th Italian-Swiss Alpine Horn Festival
The “Corni dal Generus”, in collaboration with the “Nüm dal Corno” group, present the Alpine Horn Festival in the picturesque setting of Castelgrande in Bellinzona.
Saturday 5 September
08:30 Meet at the market stall (stall opposite the Collegiate Church), welcome for players and groups strolling through the market
13:00 Display of the list of competitors at the competition venue in Castelgrande and lunch break
13:30 Official competition at Castelgrande – Bellinzona
16:00 End of competition and open performances by the various groups
18:00 Concert in the Collegiate Church (further details to follow) and dinner.
Sunday 6 September
08:00 Horn players’ breakfast
09:15 Joint concert
09:45 Competition final
10:15 Performances by various groups
11:00 Official speeches, honours for guests and drinks reception
12:00 Lunch together
13:30 Performances by various groups
15:00 Joint concert, part 1. Award ceremony for competition winners in the various categories and the overall winner. Joint concert, part 2, followed by the horn players’ happy hour until 18:00.
