The workshop will explore some aspects of everyday life in the past, such as clothing and “fashion”, from the need to cover oneself with the hides and furs of hunted animals to the discovery of spinning and weaving. The topic is introduced through a presentation of images, as well as of the materials and techniques used. This is followed by a hands-on activity working directly on small, horizontal wooden looms to create a small piece of fabric. The experience ends with a short, themed guided tour of the Archaeology Montebello exhibition.

The workshop is part of the educational programme offered by the Ticino Archaeological Association (ATT)
